Government Cloud Computing Report

More Cloud Computing in Government Than You Might Think

A month or so ago Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, released a report called "State of Public Sector Cloud Computing." I haven't had a chance to post about it until now, but believe it is worthwhile reading for anyone trying to figure out the state of cloud computing adoption -- which is more difficult than might be imagined.

Cloud Computing All Over the World

I returned a few days ago from Russia. On the second day of the conference I conducted a press conference with a group of around 15 tech journalists. Many astute questions on the potential for cloud computing in Russia, with some particular emphasis on the driving economic forces that will motivate companies to embrace cloud computing.

From Russia, With Love Part 2

Today I gave my seminar and keynote address at the Data Center conference here in Moscow. Interest in cloud computing is high in Russia, although actual adoption is quite low (.03%, according to stats presented by a speaker from LAN Magazine).

The Cloud is What Happens While You're Making Other Plans

Cloud Computing: Stealth IT?

With apologies to John Lennon, who said “Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.”

Forbes Insight forwarded a very interesting report to me, based on a large survey it conducted (sponsored by EMC, I think) regarding enterprise cloud computing plans. The Number One key finding:

Cloud Computing and Peru

I had the pleasure of keynoting a cloud computing conference in Peru last week. Not in person, you understand -- by the magic of Webex, I sat in my office and spoke to the attendees at the conference location. This is me in my best "Big Brother" mode:
